Benjamin's First Hockey Game

On Saturday, February 11th, 2012 Benjamin experienced his first hockey game. The Spokane Chiefs were playing the Tri-City Americans.
Ben actually slept through the first period and most of the second despite the loud noises. However a wet diaper woke him up for the remainder of the second period and he stayed up for the remainder of the game. He didn't seem too interested in the game, but what can you expect from a 2 month old?
Ultimately the Chiefs lost 3-5. Since we live in Spokane it should be expected that we cheer for the Chiefs, but Michelle grew up going to Americans' games. Despite her loyalty to Tri-Cities, she is trying to become a Chiefs fan. Although she cheered for Spokane, secretly she was glad to see Tri-Cities win.

Beacon Hill Hike

Saturday came and with it came beautiful weather. A perfect day to spend outdoors. The Cramer family decided to hike up Beacon Hill, the hill behind our apartment complex. We strapped Benjamin into the front pack and headed out. It was a little windy at the beginning and the path was muddy, but it was an enjoyable hike and the view at the top was amazing!

Newborn Photo Shoot

At 10 days old Benjamin had a newborn photo shoot. Our friend Jenny held the photo shoot at her house and the results were amazing! Here are some of the pictures.

After this picture Ben left a "surprise" in Jon's stocking,

Another favorite - seems very beach like, maybe it's the wood background.

Snowshoeing

This past Sunday the Cramer family ventured into the great outdoors for a snowshoeing adventure with friends. It was Michelle's and Benjamin's first time snowshoeing. Technically Ben didn't strap on his own shoes and walk in the snow, but he came along for the trip in a front pack strapped to Jon.

We traveled to the nearby Mt. Spokane for an afternoon. We had three other couples join us, one of which brought their two kids. The weather was nice. It was chilly until you got moving and it even snowed while we were out walking.

It was so much fun to hike in the snow, fall in the snow, and play in the snow with our friends. There were even some snow forts that others have made that we got to play in.

Benjamin did pretty well on the adventure. He slept most of the time as Jon carried him. He woke up while we played in the snow forts, but after a diaper change he was back to sleep.
